Privacy policy
This translation is provided for your convenience. The German version is legally binding.
Protecting your personal data matters to me. This policy shows which data I process, for what purpose, for how long and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Data Protection Ordinance (DPO).

For all questions about data protection and to exercise your rights, an e-mail to this address is sufficient.
2. Principles
- I only process data that I need to answer your enquiry or to provide my service.
- I do not sell data or pass it on for advertising purposes.
- I never write down or store passwords, PIN codes or login details. You always enter them yourself.
- I treat any data I see on your devices during a home visit confidentially. I do not copy any content from your devices.
3. Visiting the website
This website is delivered via the global server network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Your request is usually answered by a data centre near you. In doing so, Cloudflare automatically processes technically necessary information such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested and your browser and operating system. This data is used solely to deliver the website securely, quickly and reliably, is not combined with other data and is only stored for as long as necessary for this purpose.
4. No cookies, no tracking, no third-party content
This website uses no cookies, no analytics or advertising services such as Google Analytics and no social media plug-ins. Fonts, images and scripts are stored directly on this website. No content is loaded from third-party servers such as Google Fonts.
The only thing stored locally in your browser is your choice of text size (A or A+). This setting never leaves your device and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings. The answers in the guide’s self-test are evaluated only in your browser and are neither stored nor transmitted anywhere.
5. Contact form, callback, e-mail and phone
If you send me an enquiry or request a callback, I process the information you provide: name, phone number, your request, your preferred callback time and, optionally, location and message. For e-mails, also your e-mail address.
I use this data solely to answer your enquiry and arrange an appointment. Data sent via the form is encrypted (HTTPS). The form service Web3Forms forwards your details to my email inbox. In the process, the data may be processed on servers outside Switzerland. My email inbox is hosted by Hostpoint in Switzerland.
6. Communication via WhatsApp
Ongoing support clients can send me questions and photos of suspicious messages via WhatsApp. WhatsApp is operated by the Meta group. Data may be transferred to countries outside Switzerland, in particular to the USA. Using WhatsApp is voluntary. You can always reach me by phone or e-mail as well. Please do not send me passwords, PIN codes or full account numbers via WhatsApp.
7. Chat assistant on this website
This website offers a chat assistant that answers questions about services, prices and appointments. Its use is voluntary. Please do not enter any passwords, banking, health or other personal data in the chat.
While the assistant runs in “frequently asked questions” mode, your questions are evaluated exclusively in your browser and are not transmitted. In AI mode, your questions and the conversation so far are transmitted in encrypted form to my server and from there to the AI provider Anthropic, PBC (USA), which generates the answer. According to Anthropic’s terms, data transmitted via the API are not used to train AI models and are stored only for a limited time. I do not store the conversations myself. To prevent misuse, your IP address is briefly processed in anonymised form (as a hash) and discarded after one day at the latest.
The assistant’s answers are generated automatically and may contain errors. Only my confirmation is binding.
8. Assignments, appointments and invoices
To carry out an assignment, I process your name, address, phone number, booked services, appointments and payment details. For ongoing support, also the term and the communication within its scope. If you pay by TWINT or bank transfer, I receive the information necessary for payment from these providers. Their privacy policies also apply to payment processing.
9. Disclosure to third parties
I only pass on your data if this is necessary to provide my service or required by law:
- Website delivery: Cloudflare, Inc., USA (global server network)
- Forwarding of form data: Web3Forms (see section 5)
- Email: Hostpoint AG, Switzerland
- Payment processing: TWINT AG and my bank, Switzerland
- Accounting and taxes: where applicable, a fiduciary, Switzerland
- Chat assistant in AI mode: Anthropic, PBC, USA (see section 7)
- Authorities, where there is a legal obligation
All service providers process the data only on my behalf and for the purposes stated.
10. Disclosure abroad
I store emails in Switzerland. For delivering the website (Cloudflare, see section 3) and forwarding form data (Web3Forms, see section 5), data may be transferred abroad, in particular to the USA. The same applies to the voluntary use of WhatsApp (see section 6) and of the chat assistant in AI mode (see section 7). Transfers are based on the providers’ contractual assurances, such as standard contractual clauses, or on your consent through voluntary use.
11. Retention and deletion
- Enquiries without an assignment: deleted once the enquiry has been dealt with, after 12 months at the latest.
- Client data: for the duration of the client relationship and thereafter for as long as necessary for any follow-up questions.
- Invoices and accounting records: 10 years in accordance with Art. 958f of the Swiss Code of Obligations.
- Technical data when visiting the website: only for as long as necessary for secure delivery (see section 3).
12. Data security
I protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connection (HTTPS), password-protected and encrypted devices, two-factor protection for my accounts and access by me only. I keep paper documents such as appointment notes locked away and destroy them after use.
13. Your rights
You have the right at any time:
- to request information on whether and which data I process about you (Art. 25 FADP)
- to have incorrect data corrected
- to request the deletion of your data, unless there is a legal obligation to retain them
- to object to the processing of your data
- to receive your data in a common electronic format (Art. 28 FADP)
An informal e-mail to kontakt@dp-baertschi.ch is sufficient. I reply within 30 days. To protect your data, I may ask for proof of your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch
14. Changes
I will update this privacy policy if my services or the legal situation change. The current version on this page applies.
